Ventilator Patient Interactions Explored and Defined

This course structures activities for the student to explore ventilator patient interactions in the modes of volume control (VC-CMV), pressure control (PC-CMV), and pressure regulated volume control (PC-CMV Adaptive). Students will require a basic understanding of the modes of ventilation and controls for this course. The course provides students with interactive ventilator simulators, graphic interpretations and examples of control and patient interactions with structure learning activites for the student to complete. Upon completing the worksheets the students will have completed a systematic reviewed all the nuances of ventilator patient interactions that will enhance their expertise and ventilator management skills.

It is estimated that it will take about 4 hours to complete the course and self tests.
